Slack shift notifications.
Your managers already use Slack, so that's where Schedio sends what needs attention. Schedio pushes two kinds of messages into the channel you pick: urgent alerts from the dashboard, and coverage-gap warnings when a shift window is about to run empty.
⚠ Coverage gap – Front Desk
Today 14:00–16:00 has no one scheduled (short by 1). Northside Inn · Front Desk.
What lands in Slack
- Urgent alerts – when someone posts an alert at or above the severity threshold you set, it lands in the channel with the location and the text.
- Coverage-gap warnings – when a scheduled window is running uncovered, the message arrives while there is still time to fill the shift.
That's the full list, on purpose. Schedules and personal data stay inside Schedio – a message is sent only when a manager is needed right away.
Setting it up
- Open Settings → Integrations in Schedio (owner access).
- Click "Add to Slack" and pick the channel – Slack handles the authorization.
- Choose the alert severity threshold and whether coverage-gap warnings are on.
- Send a test message to confirm it arrives.
Common questions
Which messages arrive in Slack?
Urgent alerts at or above the severity you set, and coverage-gap warnings when a scheduled window runs uncovered. Routine traffic like digests stays in email, so messages arrive only when something needs attention.
Can different locations post to different channels?
Yes. Each location can point at its own channel, and alerts carry the location context – so a multi-site operation always knows which location the message came from. Locations without their own channel use the workspace one.
