Your team's shifts, in WhatsApp.
For many teams, WhatsApp is the app they already have open. Schedio's bot sends each person their own schedule and a reminder before every shift – and they can check what's next or request time off right in the chat. No new app to learn.
⏰ Shift reminder
Your shift tomorrow, Mon Jun 15, 09:00–17:00 · Front Desk at Northside Inn.
What your team gets in WhatsApp
- Their schedule – every time you publish or change it, each person gets their own shifts – not the whole roster.
- A reminder before each shift – sent shortly before they are due in, so the schedule does not have to be checked again.
- Self-service replies – they can check their next shift, list the week, or request time off – which lands in your approval queue.
It's per-person and private: people only ever see their own shifts. Managers still run the schedule, swaps and approvals inside Schedio.
Connecting someone
- Open the person's card on the People page and create a connect link – or they connect themselves from Settings → Profile.
- They tap the link, WhatsApp opens with the Schedio chat, and they send the prefilled message.
- Their schedule and reminders start arriving. That's the whole setup.
The bot is hosted by Schedio – there's no business account to create and nothing to install. Anyone can disconnect from their profile at any time.
Common questions
Does anyone have to install or set up anything?
No. If a person already has WhatsApp, they tap the connect link and send the prefilled message – that's it. The bot belongs to Schedio, so there are no accounts to create and no admin configuration on your side.
Can staff manage shifts from the chat?
They can see their next shift, list the week and request time off. Anything that changes the schedule – swaps and approvals – still happens in Schedio, where it's permission-checked and logged.
Can someone see a coworker's shifts?
No. The bot only ever sends a person their own schedule. It's a private, one-to-one channel between each employee and Schedio.
