What lands in WhatsApp
- Urgent alerts — when someone posts an alert at or above the severity threshold you set, it lands in the channel with the location and the text.
- Coverage-gap warnings — when a scheduled window is running uncovered, the channel hears about it while there is still time to fill the shift.

Setting it up
- In Meta Business Manager, set up the WhatsApp Cloud API: a phone number ID and an access token.
- Create a utility message template (Meta approval typically takes 1–3 days).
- Paste the phone number ID, token, recipient number and template name into Schedio and send a test.
WhatsApp is the most setup-heavy of the three channels because Meta requires pre-approved templates for business-initiated messages. If you just want alerts working today, Slack or Telegram connect in minutes.
