Activity log

The activity log is a readable record of every meaningful action in your workspace — entries like "Maria created shift for Liam on Mar 15, 2026". You'll find it under SettingsActivity log, available to Owners and Managers.

What gets recorded

  • Schedule changes — shifts created, edited or deleted.
  • People changes and invites.
  • Time-off decisions.
  • Swap approvals.
  • Acknowledged coverage gaps.
  • Settings changes.

Entries are written automatically as people work. Nobody can edit or delete them from the app.

Finding what you're looking for

Three filters narrow things down:

  • Person — show only what a specific actor did.
  • Action type — only shift changes, only invites, and so on.
  • Date range — focus on the week in question.

You can show 10 or 50 entries per page.

When it earns its keep

  • "Who moved this shift?" — filter to the date in question and scan.
  • Settling a dispute — if Liam says the schedule changed after it was sent, the log shows exactly what changed, when, and by whom.
  • A light audit trail — because entries can't be altered from the app, the log is a dependable record when you need to show what happened and when.

Who can see the log follows the usual rules — see Roles and permissions.

Log or analytics?

The activity log answers "what happened, exactly?" one entry at a time. For patterns — where you're chronically understaffed, how shift completion is trending — use Analytics instead.
