Create your workspace
Setting up Schedio takes a few minutes: sign up with your email or a Google/Microsoft account, answer five short questions about your business, and you land on a workspace that's already pre-filled for your industry.
Sign up
On the signup page you have two options:
- Enter your work email and click Email me a verification link. The link in the email is valid for one hour.
- Or use Sign up with Google / Sign up with Microsoft to skip the email step.
During early access, new signups are reviewed first. You'll see "Your application is in review" after signing up, and you'll get your access email once you're approved.
The setup wizard
Once you're in, a 5-step wizard sets up your workspace:
- What should we call you? — your name, the way your team will see it in notes and logs.
- Tell us about your business — your business name and an industry picker with 11 options (Hospitality, Restaurant, Retail, Clinic, Beauty & spa, Fitness, Support desk, Security, Cleaning, Logistics, Other).
- Your first location — give it a short, recognizable name like "Northside Inn", not the street address. The timezone is auto-detected, and the country you pick sets your public-holiday calendar (you can change it later in Settings).
- Your role — the checkbox I work shifts here — add me to the schedule is on by default. If you work shifts yourself, pick your department and job title — "Other (type your own)" is always an option. If you only manage, just untick the box.
- Ready to go — review everything and click Create my workspace.
What you get out of the box
Schedio pre-seeds your workspace based on your industry, so you don't start from a blank page:
- Departments — a hotel, for example, gets Front Desk, Concierge, Housekeeping and Manager.
- Shift templates and scheduling rules.
- US federal and state holidays for your country and state.
- A Default season for coverage targets.
You land on the Live dashboard, ready to go.
