Regular days off
Regular days off are weekly recurring, all-day unavailability — for example, Maria never works Sundays and Mondays. Set them once and Schedio remembers them every week.
Set days off for the whole team
The fastest way to enter everyone's pattern is the team grid:
- Open Time off and click + Add time off.
- Choose Regular days off.
- A grid opens, grouped by department — one row per person, with columns Monday through Sunday.
- Click cells to toggle days off, then click Save.
This is ideal during setup at a new workspace, or after a seasonal reshuffle when several people's patterns change at once.
Set days off for one person
You can also manage a single person's weekly pattern from their profile: open them in People and set their weekly unavailability there.
Per-person settings can also include a time window instead of a full day — for example, Liam can't work before 14:00 on Tuesdays. Schedio treats him as available for later shifts that day.
Staff can set their own regular days off from their profile, so the team can keep their own patterns up to date.
What happens at scheduling time
Regular days off guide scheduling without locking you out:
- If you schedule someone on their day off, Schedio shows a warning — it doesn't block the shift. You stay in control and can override when the floor needs it.
- In the employee picker, people on a day off are filed under "Unavailable (day off / time off)", so available staff are always at the top of the list.
- Auto-fill skips people on their regular day off for that day.
Where they appear
Regular days off show up on the Time off page in both the Month and Timeline views, with their own legend color, alongside vacation, sick and personal time. Click the legend pill to show or hide them, which is handy when you only want to see one-off absences.
