Workspace settings

Workspace settings is where Owners shape how Schedio works for the whole team — the workspace name, the words Schedio uses, who can sign in, and what happens if you ever need to close the workspace down.

General

Open Settings → General (Owners only) to manage three things:

Workspace name — how your workspace appears across Schedio.
Industry — set at signup. It drives the terminology and presets Schedio gives you, so it locks once your workspace has real data in it.
Terminology — override what Schedio calls locations, team members and shifts. A hotel might prefer "Property" and "Staff". A live preview shows how labels will read before you commit.

Team & roles

Settings → Team & roles is open to Owners and Managers. Invite someone to sign in by entering their email, choosing a role and assigning the locations they'll work with. See Roles and permissions for what each role can see and do.

A few things to know:

Pending invites can be resent or revoked at any time.
You can change a person's role later as responsibilities change.
A workspace always keeps at least one Owner — the last Owner can't be demoted or removed.

So if Maria is the only Owner at Northside Inn and wants to step back, she first promotes someone else to Owner, then changes her own role.

Danger zone

Only an Owner can delete a workspace. To do it, choose Delete my workspace and confirm by typing the workspace name and your password.

Nothing is wiped immediately. Instead:

A 30-day grace period starts.
The workspace becomes read-only, with a countdown banner so everyone can see what's happening.
You can restore everything at any time within the 30-day window.

After 30 days, all data is permanently deleted. Billing stops as soon as deletion is scheduled — you won't be charged while the workspace is winding down.

If you only need to pause scheduling for a while, the grace period works as a safety net: schedule the deletion, and restore the workspace later if plans change — as long as you're inside the 30 days.
